truck parked outsideQ. Does Cardinal Storage provide outside vehicle storage?

A. Yes. We have outdoor parking to accommodate cars, trucks, RVs, campers, boats and trailers. The vehicle must be drivable and we will need a copy of the title and/or registration, as well as a copy of your drivers' license. Please note that these documents must be in the name of the tenant renting the storage space.


Q. What type of security does Cardinal Storage provide?

  • Recorded video surveillance
  • Computerized gate
  • Security code access entry
  • Entire property is perimeter fenced

Q. What items cannot be stored at Cardinal Storage?

A. You cannot store any hazardous, toxic or illegal items including but not limited to: explosive, flammable, odorous, noxious, corrosive or pollutant materials. You may not store firearms or ammunition of any kind. Also, no food or perishable goods may be stored at our facility. Any items or goods that may cause danger or nuisance to the space or facility may not be stored. We strongly urge you not to store jewels, furs, heirlooms, artwork, collectibles or irreplaceable items. Human or animal habitation is prohibited. Conducting a business out of a unit is also prohibited.

If you are in doubt as to whether or not your items may be stored at our facility, please do not hesitate to ask a member of our management team.


Q. Do I need insurance?

A. While your items are in storage they are not covered by the storage location for loss or damage. Do not assume any existing policy will automatically cover your items in storage. Check with your insurance agent regarding your homeowners or renters policy coverage.


Q. What are your accepted methods of payment?

A. Major credit cards accepted are MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. We also accept cash, business checks and personal checks.

If you have a major credit card, you have the option of setting up automatic billing. With automatic billing you will not need to worry about remembering to pay your rent each month. This service is great for people who are out of town frequently or for company units with company credit cards. Automatic billing is the best way to avoid late fees, guaranteed. Ask a member of our management team for more information regarding this service.


Q. What tips do I need to know when packing and preparing my items for storage?

A. Some items demand air conditioning when in storage. If you are unsure as to whether an air conditioned unit would better suit your storage items, ask a member of our management team for help.

Fill boxes to capacity, as partially full or bulging boxes tend to tip or collapse. Heavy items such as books or tools should be packed in smaller boxes.  Fragile items should be wrapped with the necessary packing material to insure their safety while in storage. Also, placing fragile boxes at the top of a stack will keep them free from the weight of other boxes. Label your boxes on three sides to save from having to move them around to find the contents and it is a good idea to maintain a written list or inventory of items in your space. Dust covers are recommended over clothing, mattresses, box springs and upholstered items. Do not lean items against walls. Leaving air space around the perimeter of the unit will aid in ventilation. Leave a walkway to the rear of the unit. Use all of the space available, including the height of the unit. Disassemble items such as bed frames and remove table legs when needed.  Place frequently used and seasonal items near the front of your unit.


Q. What type of deposit or fee(s) do you charge?

A. We do not charge a deposit fee. We do charge a small, one-time administration fee of $15.00


Q. What are your hours of operation and hours of access?

A. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays.  Our gate hours are 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 365 days a year. 24 hour gate access is available only upon request.


Q. Does Cardinal Storage supply locks?

A. Yes. We provide you with a cylinder lock for your storage unit which offers an advanced locking system for added protection.


Q. Does Cardinal Storage offer climate control storage units?

A. Yes. Air conditioning helps extend the life of all your goods. Our customers have a host of storage items that demand air conditioning, including but not limited to: computer equipment, electronics, leather, candles, wood furniture, delicate fabrics, pianos, books and important documents. If you are unsure as to whether an air conditioned unit would better suit your storage items, ask a member of our management team for help.


Q. Am I required to rent for a certain number of months?

A. No. Your lease is on a month-to-month basis with a minimum of one month.


Q. Does Cardinal Storage provide pest control?

A. Yes. We provide free pest control.


Q. Does Cardinal Storage sell packing materials?

A. Yes. Moving and packing supplies are available for purchase in our office during regular office hours.
